We believe in giving back and there are some very worthy causes that NW8-mums actively fundraises for.
During the Covid-19 pandemic NW8-mums joined forces with online platform KinderGifts and up until March of 2025 when Kindergifts closed, we raised several thousand pounds through our coffee morning talk ticket donations. It was humbling to see our community coming together, attending our talks and helping us help so many wonderful and deserving charities.
Our coffee morning talks still have a fundraising element to them and proceeds from our ticket sales go to charities that are close to our hearts for many reasons.
A cause that Karin is passionate about is mental health. Karin suffered from bad perinatal and postnatal depression with both her children. A local charity that she received support from is Cocoon Family Support. They do amazing work.
Karin has done a number of fundraising races for The Lady Garden Foundation in aid of the Gynaecological Cancer Fund. What they are doing is incredible and hugely important to women all over the world.
